Lesson Costs
During June, July & August, SUMMER ART CAMPS are offered weekly in 4 days, 2 hours each day. Prices range from $165 to $185 according to the camp. Click here for camp listings and specific prices. Summer Saturdays are once a week on Saturdays during June, July & August in packages of four lessons, 90 minute each. Cost per package of 4 is $150. You select your 4 or 8 or 12 Saturdays, schedule them and pay for them. There is no make up for missed Saturdays. Supplies are included in all camps and at all appointments. HOMESCHOOL ART lessons are offered during the week mornings or mid-day. Their times vary according to demand and they are 2 hours in packages of 4 lessons for $150 per student. Drawing lessons with a self portrait start around age 8 and art essentials ranges from ages 6 to 9. Homeschool lessons are tailored to what your child needs and include more art history and art appreciation then other lessons. Text me for current availability at 941-724-4322.
Mrs. Charlene is a working artist who does commissions, illustrations and in the past, murals. Above is one of her pieces. She has 5 years of college with a BFA in Graphic Design and an all grades art teaching license. She has taught 23 years in Sarasota at her own studio after teaching art in public high school in Indiana.
Lessons by Appointment during the school year are on Saturdays
ART DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR FOR KIDS IN SCHOOL DURING THE WEEK is available from September 2, 2023 to May 24, 2024 on Saturdays only. Lessons during this time are by Subscription. The monthly fee of $150 per student is due on the first Saturday of each month. Lessons are scheduled in 90 minute appointments. Single lessons ale carte are $50.
Times available for scheduling on Saturdays include 8:30-10, 10-11:30, 1-2:30, 2:30-4, 4-5:30. Each time's capacity is 6 students. There is a waiting list available. Text 941-724-4322 to check availability and for registration information.
Following the Sarasota County School Calendar, the studio will be closed November 25, 2023, December 23, 2023, December 30, 2023 and March 9, 2024.
There is no rescheduling of missed days in a subscription program, but if you are missing most days in a month, you may want to pay per lesson at $50 per lesson.
There is a $45 registration fee for first student and $20 for additional siblings per school year with consistent attendance (start date to May 24, 2024)
Terminating lessons and restarting later in the year will require a registration fee in order to resume.
Lesson appointments are held with a nonrefundable monthly fee payment. Appointment times are not guaranteed without payment.
Starting mid-month is a prorated fee plus registration fee.
First time students only may schedule one 90-minute appointment to try an art lesson. Cost is $30. Registration fee ($45) and lesson fee apply to all lessons after the trial appointment.
Appointments are for 1 to 8 students at a time.
Students may vary in age during an appointment. Each student is working on his or her own customized course of study.
Appointments will be terminated without refund for students who are found to be younger then required ages. (At least 6 years old for Art Essentials and at least 8 years old for portrait drawing)
Appointments will be terminated without refund for disciplinary issues such as drawing on other's art work, damaging supplies or temper tantrums.
Occassionally special workshops, homeschool events or single day or holiday art camps are offered during the school year. See details on that event when it is listed for fees and restrictions separate from regular studio programs.
