Ages 6-8 start in Art Essentials CAMp
Students quickly pick up drawing skills & handle tools like pros! Techniques are introduced in smaller projects and include a variety of media to learn about. Students must be 6 years old to begin lessons. Students who are ages 6 to 9 take art essentials lessons customized to their interests as well as their needs. Art Essentials may be taken at any age, but I recommend it for ages 6 to 9.
Personalized art lessons that help your child with their individual questions.
Ages 8&up start in Portrait Drawing Camp
Students 8 years old and up start with an 18x24 portrait in graphite to see their own success. Portrait drawing is required before advanced drawing and painting courses.
Returning Artists
I also offer Advanced Drawing in Graphite and Colored Pencil as well as Acrylic Painting, Ink and Mixed Media.
I believe drawing is the foundation of all mediums. I strive to show students how to use the tools and techniques that I use myself. Using strong drawing skills, students can complete realistic work in acrylic like this girl, age 10, pictured above. (Advanced acrylic after several years of study.) Boy pictured below, age 11, shows off his first work in acrylic.
