Hello!
If you are viewing this on a cell phone, the 3 lines in the upper right corner offer buttons to other pages and more information.
From September 2, 2023 to May 24, 2024 is Saturday Subscription time for children age 6 through teen.
Your paid fee each month, whether you come or not, guarantees you always have art when you want it, with classes that are never overbooked and supplies ready for your child to enjoy. For more information and prices, click here.
(June, July, and August feature summer camps and Summer Saturdays and are not included in the subscription program.)
I only offer lessons on Saturdays for children in school during the week. For homeschoolers, there are a few other day time options. For current homeschool information text 941-724-4322. See Lesson Cost by clicking here.
New students who would like to schedule a 'try it' lesson in order to get in the schedule can text 941-724-4322 to schedule an appointment. Try it lessons are for first time students only and are $30 per student. After your try it lesson, you will be notified of what times are available or if there is a wait list.
Ages 6-8 start in Art Essentials
Students quickly pick up drawing skills & handle tools like pros! Techniques are introduced in smaller projects and include a variety of media to learn about. Students must be 6 years old to begin lessons. Students who are ages 6 to 9 take art essentials lessons customized to their interests as well as their needs. Art Essentials may be taken at any age, but I recommend it for ages 6 to 9.
Personalized art lessons that help your child with individual questions.
Ages 8&up Portrait Drawing
Students 8 years old and up start with an 18x24 portrait in graphite to see their own success. Portrait drawing is required before advanced drawing and painting courses.
Returning Artists
I also offer Advanced Drawing in Graphite and Colored Pencil as well as Acrylic Painting, Ink and Mixed Media.
I believe drawing is the foundation of all mediums. I strive to show students how to use the tools and techniques that I use myself. Using strong drawing skills, students can complete realistic work in acrylic like this girl, age 10, pictured above. (Advanced acrylic after several years of study.) Boy pictured below, age 11, shows off his first work in acrylic.
